The 1950s were a happy time with hula hoops, paper dolls, pedal pushers and playing "Annie Annie Over" for me and my sisters. Your blog is such a delight.
Thanks for sharing.
CarolynnChenille Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02431398899341721439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2017034015167001738.post-40268915996281947062012-08-13T11:30:54.211-04:002012-08-13T11:30:54.211-04:00This was such a fun post! My one and only visit to Hollywood hoping to see a movie star, and who should it be but Pat Boone! Always fun posts found here! I still have a Barbie set that I received in the 4th grade from my very good friend, Mayme, at Christmas.

I would cut furniture out of the Sears catalog and make a full house on the floor and play for hours. Didn't matter that they weren't to scale. My post today was about paperdolls too. I just popped over to follow your paper doll pinterest page, and I hope you'll stop by mine as well.
Thanks for your kind comments about my mess of a crochet project. :-) I have tried and given up many times over the past three years and I am determined that I am going to learn this time!!GardenOfDaisieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03110646840082802721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2017034015167001738.post-25700953667915307852012-07-30T13:30:11.664-04:002012-07-30T13:30:11.664-04:00Oh, my goodness, yes, I played with paper dolls, L...Oh, my goodness, yes, I played with paper dolls, Linda Ruthie! I so enjoyed seeing the ones you showed us today. One particular set I remember was a baby paper doll with cute baby outfits to dress her up in. I was getting into practice for when I had my own children I guess!! I also loved colors and coloring books. My favorite crayon color was called Midnight Blue. I hope you have a happy week, my friend, and thank you so much for dropping by for a visit at Bunny Cottage. Layering on the tape and trying to reinforce them with cereal and scotch tape! I remember the tags getting so worn out and they just wouldn't stay on any longer. So we would start drawing coloring and cutting our own clothes! We were determined little girls!
Such a fun post, oh by the way I have a huge board of paper dolls on my pinterest board, LOL!
Blessings,
SusieLittle Susie Home Makerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17887516404693518321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2017034015167001738.post-2046594325596707122012-07-28T11:30:25.434-04:002012-07-28T11:30:25.434-04:00OH but wait! I had a great baby-doll set with heavy dolls that sat up in high chairs that I remember fondly - and a Barbie set (I think it was Barbie - a fashion doll, at least) - where you could make your own paper outfits with printed squares and stencils. It was heavenly!Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07790839484765673451noreply@blogger.com
