Apron Angels

I have been working on a few aprons this week to be sent off to women in Missouri whose lives have been affected by tornadoes that went through their community on May 10th. If you want to know more, you can find the information at Lucy's blog or click on the Apronista link in the sidebar and go to the forums to read the thread that Lucy started.

New Pattern

The mailman brought this goody today. The pattern pieces (5 are missing, but they are easy rectangle pieces) are in very bad condition. I think I will try to trace them so I don't use the originals.

Today was National Wear Your Apron Day. It's 10 p.m. here and I still have mine on. My son insisted I remove it to go out to the store with him this afternoon. He's no fun :o(
I wore my smock apron made from this pattern. I'll replace the pattern photo with the real apron if I remember to get a picture.

Mother/Daughter Aprons

I made these aprons for a swap called 'I made it myself in your favorite color' on Swap-Bot. The main fabric is called "Chef's Choice Check" and I found it in the home dec fabrics at Joann's. The solid red and the gold calico were from my stash as was the rick rack. I used Simplicity pattern #4692.
