Kitchen Reds

There seemed to be a theme running through the Rednesday posts today. See them over at It's A Very Cherry World. So I went to my kitchen to find reds for today. This sugar and creamer were passed on to me from my grandmother quite a few years ago.

This cookbook was also given to me by my grandmother. It doesn't have any date in it but the art work on the divider pages suggest '40s or'50s.

Next is this pretty dish towel from my MIL. She had a set of 3, these strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

And finally here's my cookbook shelf in the kitchen.

Love the dish towel. I also love vintage cookbooks-the graphics are great and the recipes are good too.

I'm feeling so left out that I didn't share anything with strawberries today like most people did! Such wonderful keepsakes you have of your Grandma's. I love the graphics in that cookbook, and I bet it's full of great recipes. That towel is too pretty to use!
Happy REDnesday!

I used to have that carrot cookie jar! Ma gave it to me and told me there were cookies in it. When I opened it there were hand crafted beaded ornaments in it! While I no longer have the carrot, I do have the ornaments!

Great looking dish towel (and set, too, I imagine.)

I love vintage cookbooks too, and host Vintage Recipe Thursday in an effort to preserve them. You're invited to join if you are so inclined. We already have well over 400 recipes.
